Ampa Events is a special event production company that offers an array of event services including theme decorating, lighting, a/v, gaming and general equipment. We own our lighting, sound, a/v and support equipment as well as operate a full service scene shop for the design and build of props and scenery used in events. Ampa also pursues scene shop contracts for commercial and performing arts clients. Positions with our growing company require individuals best described as a jack-of-all-trades: carpentry, lighting, spatial skills for set decorating, problem solving and people skills will facilitate success in this role. All members of the Ampa team are expected to be an integral part of the companies overall success. This includes your input to positively affect internal systems and operational procedures as well as creative and design discussions. Ampa works as a team and succeeds as team. We are a small, family owned business with 8 employees that believes strongly in living the America Dream: work hard and be rewarded. With reasonable cost of living in Richmond, we seek long term additions to our team.

Markets:

Ampa provides event services - decorating, lighting, a/v, design and production services - for corporate, non-profits, government and political clients. Our diverse client base allows us to express our creative capabilities in many arenas. Ampa¹s principle client base is in the Richmond to DC metro markets and on a regional level - the mid-Atlantic states. However, we do travel as needed by our clients.

General Job Requirements For All Positions

1. Able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted; 75 lbs. with handcarts, etc.
2. Able to work in all conditions - weather, indoors or out
3. Type well with 10 fingers and possess good computer skills - Mac preferred
4. Take responsibility and initiative
5. Good verbal skills, good people skills in person and via phone
6. Well groomed and presentable for business meetings as well as site work
7. Able to work weekends and holidays as needed
8. All positions at Ampa require some physical activity

Although all of these skills are not required for employment, possessing as many as possible will facilitate your success with Ampa resulting in a more rewarding career and high job satisfaction.
